Shop To Earn Makes Headlines
Nease Rocks the World of Online Shopping
Holiday shopping is a hassle. Sure it’s fun searching for the perfect gift, but who really wants to battle traffic, crowds and screaming kids?
Nease High School has found a way around that little snag. The school partnered with Shop to Earn, a web portal which allows shoppers to give back to the school while shopping for the things they need.
"The website was something that was brought to me by a parent," said Aletha Dresback, International Baccalaureate coordinator at Nease. "She knew that with all of the financial cutbacks the school had this past year the schools need to try new ways of raising money."
That parent was Loribeth Visconti. Visconti, whose son attends Nease, said she first got wind of Shop to Earn through a neighbor.
"She was active in my Relay for Life team," said Visconti. "We were trying to figure out what to do for fund-raising and thought this would be perfect."
"I thought, the high schools are always getting gypped with money," she said. "Teenagers spend their own money on things. This has a lot of the stores teens shop at."
Dresback said the idea was initially something the school wanted to do for the International Baccalaureate program, but they felt that the entire school could benefit from it as well.
"We established www.neaserocks.com," she said. "I did almost all of my Christmas shopping online this year. Each store has a percentage that they give back to the owner of the site, in this case Nease."
Shop to Earn was founded in 2006 by Pat Welsh. The mission statement of the company is to empower people to choose a lifestyle of better health and increased wealth. It seeks to do this through alliances with "green" companies and paying a percentage of cash back through the portal in the hopes of creating a increased wave of green awareness.
According to Sarah Van Elzen, interactive producer for the Buyer Group who handles publicity for Shop to Earn, said the site has seen a tremendous amount of growth in the last year.
"There are currently 70,000 members and Shop to Earn hopes to expand to 100,000 by the end of the year," Van Elzen said.
Shop to Earn has links to popular women’s and men’s clothing stores like Banana Republic, Aeropostale, Bluefly.com, Converse and Eddie Bauer. Each store gives a specific percentage of the purchase back to the owner of the portal, for example Banana Republic gives two to four percent back to Nease if an item is purchased through Neaserocks.com. In addition to apparel, sites such as Apple, Best Buy and Office Depot are also available to shop through.
Visconti said she purchased the domain name for Nease and they will have the portal for a year. Any money generated through the site goes into an account for the school.
"The challenge is getting people to take that step to log onto the site [before they do their online shopping]," she said. "Nease is a really good school for that. They will catch on quick."
Visconti said Neaserocks.com has been active for about 4 weeks. Dresback said sales have been slow, but the so far the portal has raised about $100 for the school.

Shop To Earth Makes Thanksgiving Possible for So FL Children
Thanks to the newly formed Shop To Earth Foundation, disabled children and their families will be getting a special Thanksgiving dinner from God’s Little Acres, a South Florida non-profit providing recreational opportunities to special needs children.
In conjunction with announcing the official Shop To Earth Foundation, Shop to Earn / Shop to Earth Founder, Pat Welsh and Shop To Earn President, Dan Swiniarski presented God’s Little Acres with a $5,000 donation at the Next Step convention in Miami. Bob and Joan Nast, Owners of God’s Little Acres, who are both ShopToEarth.net brokers were invited on stage at the convention to share the story about their charity and how Shop to Earn has contributed to its success.
Attendees at the convention were so inspired by the God’s Little Acres story that many of Shop to Earn’s top producers matched the donation given by the Shop To Earth Foundation. As a result, God’s Little Acres received an impromptu $45,000 to benefit the South Florida children’s charity.
“We are going to be giving out over 100 turkeys and other Thanksgiving meal dishes,” said Bob Nast. “Without the donation from The Shop To Earth Foundation and the generous Shop To Earn members, we would have never been able to make Thanksgiving happen for our families.”
The Shop To Earth Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting eco-friendly non-profit organizations that support: preservation of ecosystems, environmental health, clean water, renewable energy technologies, global warming research, recycling methods, and the reduction of chemicals in food stock.
“We struggled to make necessary improvements at the God’s Little Acres ranch and did not have the funds to host our yearly fundraiser,” said Joan Nast. “We have been blessed as members of Shop To Earth because it has provided income that we are able to use to support our foundation.”

ShopToEarn.net Gives Members Opportunity and Rewards
The Top 20 Shop to Earn/Shop to Earth producers share their personal success with the company:
“Joining Shop To Earn was one of the top ten best days of my life.”
“Rewarding.”
“A gift.”
“Changed my family’s life.”
“I’ve discovered eco-friendly products I didn’t even know existed.”
“I was living check to check as a single mom and a teacher, then I started Shop to Earn and when most people are losing jobs and can’t pay their bills, I’ve discovered a new business opportunity that gives back in more ways than a paycheck.”
“And this is just the beginning,” says the Shop To Earn senior management team….
The Next Step theme showcased potential Shop To Earth retailers and offered business training tips for members. The event spanned over three days at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL.
Friday, saving the planet and sharing the wealth got off to a smart start with an expo for the top 100 Shop to Earn members to have a say in the company’s growth and product mix. Shop to Earn’s top producers reviewed new products that may be added as vendors for Shop To Earth in 2009.
The question and answer session with the top twenty earners was a true highlight as they had informative insight into how to make your e-commerce businesses flourish. The standing-room-only crowd left the Q/A session with motivation and the inspiration to “work their business!”
Saturday, attendees heard from some of Shop To Earth’s eco-friendly retailers, including Aquasana and Whole Food Farmacy. Both presentations were packed with valuable information on health, organic foods, and environmentally friendly living.
Shop To Earn’s Vice President of Sales, Joe Locke presented sales and marketing tips for growing the business and Shop To Earn’s Founder, Pat Welsh inspired the crowd with how to turn Shop to Earn into a thriving entrepreneurial opportunity of success.
Three lucky attendees walked away with $1000, $2500 and $5000 in ShopToEarth Sweepstakes Giveaways.
To close out the day, Shop To Earn capped off the night with some entertainment by the Dillon Dixon Band.
Sunday ended up being the emotional highlight of the weekend, which was filled with speakers, giveaways, announcements, and even tears. Speakers included True Green, a company helping to green the earth by eliminating deforestation and Be Healthy Club, a nutrition and natural healing company.
The day concluded with a Toyota Prius giveaway and the announcement of the Shop To Earth Foundation, which will provide charitable functions to organizations in the “green” industry.
Along with the announcement came The Shop To Earth Foundation’s first donation to Shop to Earn members, Bob and Joan Nast who run God’s Little Acres, a charity for disabled children in South Florida. After they shared their story with the crowd, Pat Welsh and Shop To Earn President, Dan Swiniarski made a donation of $5000 to help keep the charity on its feet. The audience was so moved by the story and Shop To Earn’s generosity that many members stood up and matched the $5000 donation. It was a touching day for everyone involved and everyone was moved to tears.
Overall, the event was a tremendous success and Shop To Earn/Shop To Earth couldn’t be more pleased with the turnout and member participation. Click here to see some of the Next Step event pictures and stay tuned for more information about future seminars.

Shop To Earn Official Blog Attracts Thousands of Visitors First Week
Online Shopping Portal Business Reports Record Growth in Suffering Economy
Las Vegas, NV – November 13, 2008 – Who says online forums can’t be born overnight? Within the first 48 hours of www.officialshoptoearn.blogspot.com going live, more than 2,500 visitors and 50 comments were posted on the Shop To Earn company blog, an online forum designed to report the official ShopToEarn (Shop To Earn or STE) news and views.
As businesses across the country continue to suffer the effects of an economic crisis, an election hangover, and a retail slump going into holiday shopping season, Shop to Earn continues to rise above the fray and achieve record-breaking numbers. Online shopping business Shop To Earn continues to take the e-commerce world by storm, and its members are reaping the financial benefits in the form of cash back discounts.
Shop To Earn company officials call STE a smart business model designed for entrepreneurial and Internet savvy professionals looking to be a part of new scaling economies with significant financial rewards.
“We knew launching an official blog would be helpful to members, but we had no idea it would be this successful in the first week,” said Pat Welsh, founder of Shop To Earn. “There was a pent up demand for members to interact with the online world and start conversations about the successful stories they can share.”
The Shop To Earn business model integrates the incredible power of the Internet and shines a bright light on old multi-level-marketing business plans, giving members complete control of their earning potential. With the launch of the official Shop To Earn blog, members have a community to discuss growing their business and a forum to network with one another. The blog also serves as a hub for official company information distribution.
“This blog is our official voice online. With certain sources spreading misinformation on the web, we wanted to make sure the real facts were available,” said Shop To Earn CEO, Dan Swiniarski. “Writers on blogs like fraudfiles base their information on inaccurate facts that are one-sided. We wanted to give our members a chance to speak for themselves.”
Here are some recent comments from current members, taken directly from the Shop To Earn official blog:
“This opportunity has offered thousands of people the ability to better their lives not only via a new income stream, but it has introduced the earth-friendly products that most had never experienced before. Thanks again!!!!”
“Finally, a forum for some common sense and information. Some people just don't want to come to grips with new ideas. The negative stuff out there is so ridiculous and silly. STE has made me over $50,000 in 5 months and more than $125,000 for my collective down-line. This is fun and fulfilling work!“

STE Reputation Starts Here; Let’s Set the Record Straight
While that is a goal of this blog, I also want to remind you that some people will always be suspicious and fearful of things that are new and different. While Shop To Earn might seem like a “no brainer” to us, online shopping and online business is still a new concept to many people.
I don’t want to use this blog to be on “the defensive” or even give any credit to those who feel the need to tear down our members in online forum. I will only say this:
The administrators of Fraud Files, Pink Truth, and our personal favorite “youalldisgustme.com” are not members of Shop To Earn, and have never attempted to contact us to gain the correct information on our business. We would welcome the opportunity to answer their questions in a professional forum.
So, let’s focus on our business – rather than focusing on those who have chosen to not be a part of it.
Here are some excerpts from recent blog comments:
This opportunity has offered thousands of people the ability to better their lives not only via a new income stream, but it has introduced the Earth friendly products that most had never experienced before.
Thanks again!!!!
Finally a forum for some common sense blogs and information. Some people just don't want to come to grips with new ideas. The negative stuff out there is so ridiculous and silly.
STE has provided me over $50,000 in 5 months and more than $125,000 for my collective downline. This is fun and fulfilling work!
See you in Miami!
I feel so fortunate and extremely grateful to be a part of this incredible company. I joined exactly four months ago, and I continue to impressed with the integrity of the company and the incredible opportunity it provides for anyone who joins. It has been an extremely positive experience for me, and I have had great financial success in just four months. I love the fact that I am now using products that are better for my family and for our environment, and I am so grateful to have a very lucrative supplemental income coming in each month. It is also extremely rewarding to see family and friends who have joined me in this exciting endeavor starting to do well financially as well.
I think it is unfortunate for someone to read false information about STE on the internet, and as a result miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime.
I can’t wait to see you all next weekend at “The Next Step” in Miami!
Pat Welsh
